Obituary

Arlen Gene (Larson) Risk was born 06/29/1953 and passed away 11/21/2024. He grew up in Prosser along with his six brothers and sisters, graduating from Prosser High School in 1972. After graduation, he joined the family business started by his father John Risk and continued working there until his retirement in December 2021. In 1972, he dedicated his life to Jehovah God and for many years has served as an elder in his congregation.

In 2002, he fell in love and married his loving wife, Dawn. They enjoyed 22 happy years together. Though the last six years have had their challenges with his declining health, he never complained. If you asked how he was, he would always say he was "fine" or "okay". He loved life and told his sisters he "thanked God for every day of life" and that he "just wanted to get better" but his strong faith in the Bible's promise of the resurrection at John 5:28, 29 gave him peace. His favorite scripture was Psalms 37:29 with the promise of living forever on earth. We look forward to seeing him then, walking toward us with his big smile and warm embrace.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his father John Risk, brother, Johnny Risk and his nephew, Josh Bragg. He is survived by his loving wife Dawn, his mother Marie (Risk) Frank, sisters, Cindy Bragg (Harry), Debbie Whitney (Tom), and Pam Bradshaw (Randy), his bothers, Eddie Joe Risk (Tina) and Dan Risk (Sarah); aunts and uncles, Bev and Keith Moore, Marlene Kelsey, George and Kay Marvin, as well as his many cousins, nieces, nephews, special friends and extended family members.
