Obituary

Glenn (Ed) Edwin Barnett, 63, was born on October 13, 1962, in Toppenish to William and June Barnett. He was raised in Mabton and remained a lifelong resident of the community. He passed away on Thursday, April 30, at Trios Hospital in Kennewick, with his wife and daughter by his side.

He shared 35 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Jody Barnett. The couple was married in Reno, where they also celebrated their honeymoon, beginning a lifetime of love and memories together.

In his younger years, Glenn enjoyed snowmobiling and pheasant hunting and was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. He worked for the City of Sunnyside for the Water Department for over 20 years, where he built many lasting friendships, with Juan Alvarez, Chance Graff, and Lorenzo Garza.

He is survived by his wife, Jody Barnett; daughter, Jill Barnett (Tyler); grandson, Hunter; brother, Scott Barnett (Donna); sister, Sharon Ott (Charlie); and niece and nephews, including Jered Barnett, Joe Clark, and Kimberly Villa.

Glenn will be remembered for the deep love he had for his family, the friendships he cherished, his contagious laugh, and the lasting impact he had on all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

At Glenn’s request there will not be any funeral services.
