Steven
Gramling
November 4, 1966 – April 12, 2026
Steven Patrick Gramling was born November 4th, 1966 and raised in Kennewick, Washington.
He grew up under the loving care of Vernon Gramling and Charlene Gault, spending much of his youth helping his father work the wheat fields of the Horse Heaven Hills. Those early years shaped his strong work ethic, deep loyalty, and love for family.
At Kennewick High School, Steve played right tackle on the football team, forming lifelong friendships and memories. His passion for the game carried him to Washington State University, where he started dating the love of his life, Christine. Together, they built a life rooted in love, raising their family first in Kennewick and later embracing the place that held Steve’s heart—Hawaii.
Steve was a proud father to seven children and found immense joy in each of their lives and accomplishments. His love and pride grew as his family expanded, and he deeply cherished his role as “Papa” to his grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness.
Steve is preceded in death by his father, Vernon Gramling, and his birth mother, Carolyn Chavez.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Christine Gramling; his mother, Charlene Gault; his sisters Sandra White (Russ) and Debra Isom (Steve); his brothers Devin Chavez (Angee) and Dustin Chavez (Jennifer); and his seven children: Alexandra (Taylor), Elizabeth, Steven, Christopher, Ealena (Michael), Keahi, and Kekoa. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Amelia, Sloane, Cameron, Olivia, Logan, Lyrah, David and Bentley.
Steve will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love by all who knew him.
