Yvonne "Vonnie" Kaye Meyer
Yvonne "Vonnie" Kaye Meyer went home to be with her Lord and Savior April 3rd 2025. Vonnie, as her family affectionately called her was born November 8 1961 to Richard & Donna Meyer in Mountain Home Idaho , due to her family's travels for work, her family relocated to Kennewick , WA. along with uncles, aunts and many cousins that were like her siblings.
Vonnie graduated from Kennewick High School in 1979. In the ensuing years Vonnie became a very hard worker. She worked at Rafaels, (still known for their burritos and Hot sauce) Red Apple Market, and later she became the consummate manager and bartender at Players and The Sports Page for over 30 years, until her health prevented her continuously of work. Vonnie never forgot a face and astonished many for remembering her customer's orders on cue! Vonnie was a life long Green Bay Packers fan, she stood alone during football season proudly and loudly standing by her team in a family of die hard Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks. She never wavered, enjoying the family rivalry, GO PACK!
Vonnie was the mother of two children Garon and Tristan, and also grandmother to Christian, Kaydance, and Sera.
Vonnie is survived by her husband Jack Nolan, mother Donna Meyer, daughter Tristan, son Garon, sister's Robin Hudson (Brian), Brenda Tole(Dan), brother Richard Jr, (Richie), stepson Jackson, niece LaRae Hudson, grand children Christian, Kaydance and Sera,& bonus daughter Tarrin. Also dear friends Lana Hilts (Webb) Kelly Payne, Joe Mullins and Jon Williamson, and an army of cousins whom loved her dearly. Vonnie also leaves behind her beloved service animals Gemma and Bailey whom she adored. She is preceded in death by her father Richard and many relatives.
Vonnie was 63 years, 23161 days, 4 months, 30 days, 18 hours, 7 minutes and 41 seconds. This is how our family recorded birthdays!
Although not long enough, we are grateful for the time we had with her. Rest easy Vongirl, your battle on earth is over, enjoy eternity in Heaven. We love you. It's Closing time!
Celebration of Life will be at South Hills Church, 3700 W. 27th in Kenn, at 11:00am on Saturday April 26th,
Reception following at the Kennewick Eagles located at 115 N. Fruitland Kenn. Please wear your favorite football attire.
