Witness Placement

Starting at $125

Witness cremation offers the family the chance to be present with their loved one as the cremation commences. This is a basic service giving family the opportunity to witness the placing of their loved ones cremated remains either in the ground or in a niche, or it allows for burial families to witness the lowering of the casket into the ground.

*Disclaimer: We utilize the crematorium at Einan’s at Hillcrest - Kennewick, we must follow established guidelines. You will only be allowed to stay until the cremation begins. Also, be aware that Einan’s has a crematorium schedule, and CODA will select an available time. In the event that Einan’s has to reschedule, CODA will notify the family.

Use of Facilities, Staff & Equipment for Private Viewing

Private family viewing, without embalming, is available for families (no greater than 10 people) needing to say a final goodbye. To help create a positive memory for your family, funeral directors will set features (positioning the mouth and closing the eyes), perform special sanitary precautions, dress the body in a hospital gown, and cover the body with a blanket from the shoulders down. In addition, this cost includes use of our facility and staff (1 hour) for private viewing, modified preparation of the deceased, and utility vehicle to get to CODA and back to our holding facility.

Use of Equipment & Staff for Graveside Service

$350

A memorial is a permanent remembrance of a life lived; a place for mourners (not just family) may visit for emotional support. We’ll coordinate a Graveside Service for burial or cremation with the cemetery of your choosing.  If there were prearrangements in place for your loved one, you will need to touch base with the cemetery to ensure everything is settled.

Fingerprints and/or Lock of Hair

Many of the families we serve today eventually choose to have their loved one's fingerprint transferred to a piece of jewelry, thereby keeping their memory only a touch away. Some families also choose to keep a lock of hair. For an additional cost we will take electronic fingerprints of your loved one, which can be used to order jewelry featuring your loved one's fingerprint, becoming a precious keepsake.

Tribute DVD

Starting at $135

A DVD video is a wonderful way to share your loved one’s life with others. It can be personalized with your special photos and music. These videos become keepsakes that you can share with your family for generations.


We will take the photos you have selected from your collection, and we will create a slide-show. We can play this during your gathering. Pick out a few songs that remind you of your loved one or their favorite songs. Then you can have this for years to come. Additional DVD copies available.

During this delicate time, we offer a space where you can explore and select from a thoughtfully curated collection of urns. Our selection encompasses a variety of styles, materials, and sizes to ensure you find the perfect resting place that resonates with the essence of your loved one. Each urn is crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail, reflecting the unique and enduring bond you shared. May you find comfort in knowing that your loved one's cremated remains will be cradled in a vessel that pays homage to a life well-lived and deeply treasured.
