Amy Eslinger

Hi, I’m Amy, the manager of CODA Alternative Cremation and Funeral, where we know the

traditional funeral home doesn’t strike a chord with everyone.

I have a passion for helping people, especially with guiding them to understand the options with

their end-of-life needs. I would like to invite you to have a conversation with me, but first let me

tell you a little story about myself…

Have you heard the song “Famous Friends” by Chris Young? This was basically my childhood. I

grew up in the small town of Emmett, Idaho, just north of Boise. My mom was a schoolteacher

and my dad owned his own business and drove school bus. There are so many unique hidden

gems in a small town, and I definitely have some famous friends.

Shortly after graduating from high school, I joined the Oregon Army National Guard. I dabbled

as a Wheel and Tank Mechanic, but spent most of my time as a Recovery Specialist.

My husband Scott and I relocated to his hometown of Kennewick to take advantage of all the Tri

Cities has to offer. We have 2 boys, Owen and Tanner. We love being outside, bike riding,

camping, riding ATVs and traveling. It is never a dull moment in our house.

Since moving to Tri Cities, I obtained my Medical Assistant Certificate and worked in an

occupational health clinic. I was approached and given an opportunity to work for Einan’s

Funeral Home as a Transfer Technician. I was on call 3 to 4 nights a week, bringing loved ones into our care. I quickly realized what a sacred and unique way this was to help

people in what is often their most painful time.

I assisted with building and launching CODA Alternative Cremation and Funeral in the fall of

2021. This experience has been the most difficult thing that I have been a part of, but one of the

most fulfilling. Assisting and guiding people through the end-of-life process is truly remarkable.

Come visit me at CODA Alternative Cremation and Funeral, or send me a message. I want to

know your story and to help you share it with your friends and family.
